One hell of a journey Back in 2008, I was sitting on two and a half books of what was supposed to be a paranormal romance trilogy about futuristic shape shifters. By this point, I had already written well over a million words across many different novels, novellas, and short stories, but these were the first ones I seriously shopped around for publishing.  At the height of the eBook boom, I got lucky. What Is Love

I have this thing I like to say any time the topic comes up: “I like my men like I like my books—fictional.” Because, really, what avid reader out there hasn’t at one time or another fallen in love with a fictional character? If you’re one of the Lucky People whose minds are able to translate words printed on the page into vivid images and scenes in your mind’s eye, it’s almost a foregone conclusion.
