The Jewel of Myst

It is said that when Aster the Brave finally won the Battle of the Myst and united the people under his rule, he bled upon the ground and his magic churned through the earth until his blood turned to stone.

The Jewel of Myst became a symbol for the ruling clan of Enneia’Eth, for it glowed when touched by the blood of Aster’s line. Whenever a new successor took the throne, they would bleed upon the sacred relic to prove their rightful claim.

Thousands of years later, when the Drow Usurper razed the kingdom and locked it behind a Veil of his power, the Jewel disappeared, finding its way into a collection of trinkets of High Wizard Magnamus Hawthorn, who was quickly relieved of it by a sticky-fingered rogue one miserably rainy night at a roadside tavern.

He never noticed it go missing.

She now uses it as a night light.
