State Of The Author Address

Hello everyone!

A quickie post to bring you guys up to date on what I’m up to these days. Since I’ve had people email me with questions, I thought it best to answer here. So here goes:

Q: Is Blood Hunt ever coming out?

A: YES! It absolutely is. It was delayed by a side project which turned into a mega novel, and now it’s being delayed a bit more due to life/work stuff, but rest assured, the fourth installment of the Blood Series is almost finished, and I am planning (hoping) for a release date sometime this winter. For those who follow my Facebook posts, you’ve seen me share some excerpts in the past. I also have a gorgeous cover, which I will be unveiling later this month, or early June. I do need to apologize for the long wait. If I could have helped it, believe me, this book would already be out there. Unforeseen circumstances and all that. But I am working hard to get it out there ASAP.

Q: Will there be a sequel to WolfenPlease say there will be a sequel to Wolfen!

A: On this, I must plead the 5th. Okay, I can see that won’t fly, so full disclosure: This book was meant to be a stand-alone. One and done. It’s really two books in one, so I figured that would do the trick. But I have to acknowledge I’ve left a lot of things unresolved. Some on purpose, others not so much. You know that feeling of accomplishment you get when you finish something? Well I never got that with Wolfen. The world I’d created is still with me, much like an earworm I can’t shake. So might there be a sequel at some point? Possibly. But it won’t be any time soon. I have promised my readers Blood Hunt first, and then there are two more stories to follow The Royal Wizard I really, really need to tell.

Q: Speaking of The Royal Wizard,  where is Dragonborn??

A: Umm… *shifty look* It’s in there somewhere… Yep! There it is. Liadan and Tir still butting heads like there isn’t a swarm of soul-eating demons chasing them. Crap! Was that too much information? Well, anyway, that’s where the story is at the moment. It was about half done when I got stuck so it’s patiently waiting its turn until I finish Blood Hunt. And yes, there is one more story planned after this one. Titled Prince of Deceit, it will take up just after, or shortly before Liadan’s story ends to tell her brother Fal’s tale of woe. Seriously, the man’s got issues…

Q: You’re writing too slow. Can I send you money so you can quit your day job and write full time?

A: Well, if you insist… 😉 [Okay, this wasn’t actually a question I received, but I thought I’d sneak it in there in case anyone actually did want to send me money to write full time. Any takers? Bueller? *sigh* Worth a try…]

Q: Are you planning any book signings?

A: At the moment, no. Mostly because an event takes a lot of time to plan, organize, and conduct–time I feel is better spent writing the books you guys are waiting for (and thank you so much for being so patient!). If, however, you live in the U.S. and would like an autographed copy of one of my print books, you can now order at this page. Quantities are limited for the moment, but if there is a higher demand, I will up those numbers. I am unfortunately unable to offer this to international readers yet. Working on it, though!

Got a question I haven’t addressed? Leave it in the comments section below. Thanks for reading! 🙂
