DIY Resources Every Author Should Know About

Greetings and salutations! I come to you a few days late with my DIY post. I apologize for the delay. If you follow me on Facebook, you already know about the miserable plague that has taken hold of my respiratory system. Thank you to all for your well wishes and prayers. I am slowly getting back to myself and the only thing that now bothers me is how behind schedule I’ve gotten because of it.

To make up for my absence, I have decided to do some spring cleaning on my Links and Resources page. If you haven’t checked it out yet, please do! All the info on it is for your benefit, whether you’re an indie author, traditionally published, or just looking for some help in marketing yourself or your business.

What’s Changed?

I have added several new links and updated an old one. For a quick reference, the free stock image website formerly known as sxc.hu is now freeimages.com. Not sure why that happened, but if you have an account with them, your login is still the same. I’ve also added a new link for free images, one for free music, and another for free videos. It’s your lucky day! =D Everything on that page is stuff I’ve personally used and tested, nothing untried gets past me.

The last resource link before the reading material is for a program which is not free. I’m sorry about that, but having recently tested it out on the new Wolfen trailer (which I cannot wait to unveil!) I have come to realize how handicapped I have been, using only Windows Movie Maker. If you have any desire to create your own videos, Corel Video Studio is very worth investing in.

That’s it! Quick and dirty today, so much to do, so little time. Hope you enjoy the links.

  1. You make me want to break out in a song and dance routine. Lucky for you, I am aware that I can neither sing nor dance, so I will spare you that special brand of torture. Thank you for this post!
