Acclaim for Blood Moons

This is where blogspot falls a little short of allowing me to capture a moment. I actually went looking for an animated dancing smiley but all I found was the annoying bananas. I would never do that to someone lol Failing that, I resort to writing about what I want to say. I know, novel idea. All puns intended.

I got a post on my Facebook Wall today about a review for Blood Moons. This makes it the third 5-star review in a row! Needless to say, I am over the moon and bouncing off the walls on the inside. I cannot even tell you how happy I am that this story is being so well received. It’s a dream come true.

The problem came when I wanted to print this review out: Both my printers are inoperable! One is out of ink and I have no inclination to remove myself from my cozy warm cocoon to drive into the rainy, windy, cold November San Francisco to get a new cartridge (although I probably should, since I have pages that really ought to be printed just to be on the safe side). The other for whatever reason refuses to cooperate. Despite being filled to the brim with paper, whenever called on to print it sputters and spins pathetically, then tells me there is no paper in the auto feeder.

Once I get it all going again I am putting together a binder/scrapbook to commemorate all these things. My first acceptance letter will definitely go in there, along with my first royalties check, the first official cover with a blurb, and all the reviews I can find. It will give me something to do, as I have yet again hit a wall with my novel. But that’s to be expected, seeing as I am nearing the end.

As for NaNoWriMo, I’m behind more than I think I can catch up by the end of the month but I’ll still give it a try. Blog entries don’t count, do they? 😉

NaNoWriMo current count: just under 30,000
